And it doesn't always have to be nursing, you also have very good opportunities in the areas of housekeeping, administration or cooking. Your options
1. The quick start: basic nursing course
You do a basic nursing course, full-time or part-time. The stages: 10 to 12 weeks of specialized instruction at educational institutions, a two-week internship at the DOREAFAMILIE - you get started.
The costs? Covered by the following agencies if you meet the relevant requirements:
- Employment agencies (SGB III)
- Jobcenter (SGB II) by means of an education voucher
- BFD (Vocational Training Service of the German Armed Forces)
- German pension insurance
- European Social Fund (ESF)
2. The golden mean: Training as a certified nursing assistant (1 to 2 years)
You will learn the theory in a vocational college and the practical part in a DOREAFAMILIE home. We will clarify with you how long your training will take, as this varies from state to state. It is often one year full-time. If you have other commitments, such as looking after your family, you can also complete your training part-time with a correspondingly longer course.
By the way: If you are employed as a care assistant with a basic course at DOREAFAMILIE, you will even continue to receive your salary during your training.
3. Aiming high: training as a nursing specialist
You have a secondary school leaving certificate and are starting a three-year apprenticeship. The theoretical part takes place at nursing schools, the practical part mainly with us. Once you have passed your final examination, you will be a qualified nurse and one of the most sought-after employees.
