Training as a nursing specialist
Would you like to do a meaningful job, take responsibility for people in need of care and learn a multifaceted profession with a future? Then you've come to the right place. Training to become a nursing specialist gives you the best prospects for the future.
How does the training work?
- You will learn the theoretical knowledge at a vocational college.
- The practical training takes place in one of our fully inpatient care facilities or in one of our outpatient care services in your area and at various practical locations (e.g. in hospital).
- As part of the generalist nursing training, you will get to know all nursing fields - geriatric nursing, nursing and paediatric nursing - and choose one of the three specializations.
- You will be accompanied by practical instructors throughout your training. They will show you how theory works in practice.
- 3 years are over in no time - you will then sit your state examination to become a nursing specialist.
What tasks await you?
- You are part of an interprofessional team and work hand in hand with many other professional groups.
- You look after sick people and people in need of care.
- You implement the care process.
- You plan nursing measures, carry them out and document them.
- You carry out doctors' orders.
- You will develop an understanding of the quality of care and play an active role in improving it.
- You will experience a lot of human interaction and will sometimes reach your limits, but at least you will have the support of your team.
