Training as a qualified nurse
You would like to do a meaningful job, take responsibility for people in need of care and learn a multifaceted profession with a future? You've come to the right place! Training to become a qualified nurse gives you the best prospects for the future.
How does the training work?
- You will acquire the theoretical knowledge at a vocational college.
- The practical training takes place in one of our nursing homes or in one of our ambulatory care services in your area and at various practical locations (e.g. in a hospital).
- As part of the generalist nursing training, you will get to know all nursing fields – geriatric nursing, nursing and paediatric nursing – and choose one of the three specializations.
- You will be accompanied by practical instructors throughout your training. They will show you how theory works in practice.
- 3 years are over in no time – at the end you will sit your state examination to become a qualified nurse.
What tasks can you expect?
- You are part of an interprofessional team and work closely with many other professional groups.
- You look after people in need of care.
- You implement the care process.
- You plan nursing measures, carry them out and document them.
- You carry out doctors' orders.
- You will develop an understanding of the quality of care and play an active role in improving it.
