Edemissen: Idylle am Rande der Südheide
Edemissen liegt im südlichen Randgebiet zur Lüneburger Heide. Teil der Gemeinde mit 12.500 Einwohnerinnen und Einwohnern ist die beschauliche Ortschaft Rietze zwischen Hannover und Braunschweig. Hier führt ein Pilgerweg, der von Stade bis nach Rom reicht, entlang. Nur 20 Minuten mit dem Pkw entfernt ist die Kreisstadt Peine, 27 Kilometer sind es bis Braunschweig. Die Nähe zur Autobahn A2 ist geeignet für Pendlerinnen und Pendler in Richtung Wolfsburg, Braunschweig, Salzgitter oder Hannover. Außer Kindergärten sind in Edemissen eine Grundschule, Hauptschule und Realschule vorhanden. Weiterführende Schulen sind in Peine ein Gymnasium und eine Berufsbildende Schule.
